1. About TrackDish

TrackDish is a dish antenna alignment, satellite positioner, internet speed test, and satellite-related information service. The TrackDish app helps users align dish antennas using device sensors such as compass, accelerometer, camera, and optional GPS/location features.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Website Log Data

Like many websites, www.trackdish.com may collect standard log data when users visit the website. This may include:

2.2 Android App Data

The TrackDish Android app may access or process the following data on the device:

Compass / Magnetometer and Accelerometer sensor data: Used to move the live alignment hand and help align the dish antenna.
Camera: Used for the live positioner / alignment view. Camera images are processed on the device and are not uploaded to our server.
Location / GPS: Used only when the user allows location access, to calculate or assist with satellite alignment. The app can also work with manually entered or selected position data.
Saved satellite configurations: Satellite name, position, azimuth, elevation, LNB skew, and related alignment settings may be stored locally on the user’s device.
Internet speed test data: The app may process network speed, ping, jitter, ISP/network information, and similar diagnostic information for displaying test results inside the app.

We do not require user accounts for the TrackDish app. We do not ask users to submit their home address or personal identity information for using the main app features.

3. Saved Dish Configuration Sharing

TrackDish allows users to share a dish configuration with another user. The shared configuration may include:

Satellite name
Satellite orbital position
Azimuth
Elevation
LNB skew

This shared configuration is stored in the URL parameters of the shared link. It does not require a backend database or user account. The shared configuration does not intentionally include the user’s exact home address or personal location.

When someone opens a shared TrackDish import link on www.trackdish.com, we may log basic website analytics such as date/time, satellite name, referrer, and user agent for abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and understanding how the feature is used.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
